If you are on a windows machine you'll be shown a prompt like the one above. Enter shell.csee.wvu.edu for the field "Host Name (or IP address)" then press enter. If you are on a linux machine or a mac you should already be at a prompt and able to type in the command: ssh shell.csee.wvu.edu.

For all platforms a prompt similar to the one above will come up saying the hosts key is not cached. Press or type yes to continue.

Basic Login Shell

A black screen will come up and say: "login as: " at this point enter your user name and press enter. Another prompt will come up asking for your password. Enter it and press enter. (Note: when you type in your password you won't see anything happen)

You are now logged in and will have a prompt. Enter the command "ldap-passwd" and press enter. It will ask for your current password then for a new password twice. Just like before, when you enter your password you will not see anything happen. When you enter the new password for the second time you can hit enter and be done. Once you're back to your prompt type the command 'exit' and you're finished.
